Kamyar is an enthusiastic architect and urban designer with more than 15 years of experience in design, detailing, research and presentation in Canada and the Middle East. Before establishing Nira Architects, Kamyar has been key design team member in acclaimed practices like Hariri Pontarini Architects, CS&P Architects and Urban Strategies for different projects ranged from school addition to 500,000 m2 / 95 storeys mixed use development in Waterfront Toronto(1 Yonge St). Having studied and practiced in Toronto and Tehran in both Architecture and Urban Design fields has provided him comprehensive exposure to a very diverse collection of projects ranging from interior design to city scale master planning. Beside professional practice, he was a sessional lecturer at Azad University of Tehran and also has been working on a research on small and odd shape lots development and design strategies which has been published and presented in different venues in Canada.
Kamyar studied Master of Urban Design in University of Toronto and Master and Bachelor of Architecture in Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran. He is registered architect in Canada and Iran, LEED Green Associate, member of Toronto Society of Architects and Registered Construction Expert Witness in Tehran.
